Promo editions of games are issued in very small numbers directly by the publishers to retailers and reviewers slightly ahead of the official release of the game in the actual shops. They are the full game and the contents of the discs is identical to the Retail editions.

 On the disc there is a promotional text printed around the spindle hole "Promotional Copy - Not For Re-sale".
 The patent number begins with a "P". It can be seen whether the game is a true Promotional Copy.
